You're In For A Nice Surprise

...at how simple and satisfying the routines of diapering can be. We'll predict, in fact, that some of your nicest memories will be of diapering moments -- of the way your three-month old smiled in enjoyment at your attention, or how your one-year-old twisted and wriggled to get back to exploring the world. Wait and see how much those "little things" can really mean.

How Often Should You Change A Diaper?

The simple rule-of-thumb is to check often and change the diaper as soon as possible after you know your baby has wet or soiled. That's especially important after a soiling, since staph bacteria grow rapidly in feces and can produce a red, irritated bottom quickly.

We strongly feel that, especially in the early days when it may take your baby two or three wettings to saturate a diaper, you shouldn't wait until a diaper is soaked before you change it. The breakdown of urine produces ammonia that can be very irritating to your baby. For those understandable occasions when time slips by, our breathable cotton diapers will help by providing an escape path for ammonia and keeping your baby's skin cool to discourage bacterial growth. But there's no substitute for staying on top of changing diapers as needed. That's the key to the diapering health and comfort your baby deserves.
